My Role
As a design system designer, my job is to create a design system that has all the essential parts needed to make everything work together smoothly.
Overview
This design system, tailor-made for NeedFor, boosts a comprehensive array of primitives, spacing variables, and design tokens. These elements work harmoniously to ensure uniformity and coherence throughout the platform. Additionally, it offers a rich selection of reusable components, further enhancing consistency across the system.
The Problem
As I designed the platform, I noticed lots of things didn't match up. It took forever to create new components because I had to constantly check spacing and other details to keep everything looking consistent and nice. So, I decided to create a whole new design system to make things easier.
The Goal
We want to make basic pieces, like shapes and colors, as well as a system for how things are spaced out. This will make it easier to create components that can be used again and again. By using these basic pieces for things like how much space there is and the curves on edges, and by using them consistently across components, we can make the design process simpler and keep everything looking good together.
